"Dear Craig,
Where do I begin to tell you what a significant role you played in our daughter’s wedding last Saturday? You were everything that we were told you’d be and more. You were professional, low key (in not trying to take center stage), played an excellent variety of music that was very high quality, you caused our guests to want to dance and participate (staying longer than they ever thought they would in that cold night air), and you were subtle in your set up (which, as you know, I was concerned about since our guests were “right there”.
I wish I could replay everything you played because I remember thinking again and again, “Oh, I love that song.” There was enough material for all age groups. You could really “read the crowd.” I would say to anyone considering hiring you that I could leave the musical selection decisions to you and not worry about it. You sensed what the crowd wanted and played it. Did you ever take a break???? I don’t think so. AND, my biggest concern of all was not a concern at all. You never got so loud that people who weren’t dancing couldn’t talk. Oh, how grateful we all were for that!
I wish we had asked you to do all the announcements. A few were not heard because we thought it would be “nice” if we did them. So much for learning by doing.
Several times I looked over to you to give you grateful thanks and there was always a reassuring smile and twinkle of the eye, even though an instrument was being played at the same time.
Our next daughter will be married soon and we hope that we can work with you again then. Meanwhile, we will be singing your praises to all who will listen and our guests will be doing the same.
Many thanks and best of luck to you all. You really “make a difference.”
Sincerely,"
Jim and Lynn Flathmann
