Jim bought his first set of drums in 1967. By 1976 he was the “first call” session drummer for Sacramento’s Moon Studios where he played on numerous albums, singles, television and radio commercials, soundtracks, and demo sessions. He played drums for Sacramento favorites David Houston, Bob Cheevers, Crayon, The Charlie Peacock Group, The C&L Jugband, and The Phil Sillas Band. Jim has also played drums with Eric Burdon and The Animals, Roy “Good Rockin” Brown, The Coasters (who hasn’t!!!), and local bluesman Mick Martin. Jim is an avid drum collector and is always on the lookout for the “perfect snare drum.” |
