Craig is the “award winning” keyboardist/vocalist for The New Originals. When he was a member of The Toons, Craig received two Bay Area Music Awards (Bammies) and had a Number One hit on The Dr. Dimento Show with “Punk Polka.” Craig has also been the recipient of many awards for his outstanding achievements as one of Sacramento’s finest music teachers. A few of those awards include The Sacramento News & Review 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award in Music Education, the 2002 School Band and Orchestra Magazine National “50 Teachers Who Make A Difference” Award, the 2001 “Best Teacher” Award from Sacramento Magazine, the San Juan Unified School District Teacher of the Year Award in 2000, the Sacramento County 2000 Teacher of the Year Award, and more. Craig has composed and recorded commercials for Good Guys, Stanford Shopping Center, Schlitz Beer, and played keyboards with Christopher Cross, Bruce Forman, Mike Clark, Don Menza, Bill Berry, Bill Cosby and B.B. King.
